The Côte d'Azur has spent more than a century as the world's most storied stretch of coastline. Between Monaco and Menton, medieval villages perch above the sea, gardens spill down toward hidden coves, and the light does something to the water that photographers still cannot fully explain. Our residence on this coast sits above Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, one of the quieter and more refined corners of the Riviera.
This is a destination where every meal, every walk, and every stretch of beach was chosen by someone before you. We arrange the rest so that your time is spent in the residence, on the terrace, and along the coastline, rather than on logistics.
Highlights
Villa Carlina sits above one of the quietest stretches of the coast, four kilometres from Monaco and fifteen minutes from Menton and the Italian border.
The coastal path that runs from Cap-Martin toward Monaco is one of the finest walks on the entire coast. Pine-shaded cliffs, hidden coves, and Le Corbusier's Cabanon along the way.
Mirazur in Menton, Le Louis XV in Monaco, and Le Château Eza in Èze are all within thirty minutes. Our concierge team books tables that the site cannot.
Even in January the Riviera stays mild. February brings mimosa in bloom. The coast rewards visitors year round, not only in July and August.
Skip the coach-tour circuit. Èze at sunrise, before the crowds, with breakfast at Château de la Chèvre d'Or overlooking a four-hundred-metre drop to the sea. Roquebrune village at dusk, when the medieval streets glow amber and the château at the top is nearly deserted. Saint-Paul-de-Vence for lunch at La Colombe d'Or, where Picasso and Matisse once ate on credit and left paintings that still hang on the walls. Each of these is within thirty minutes of the residence.
The Cap-Martin peninsula is a rare stretch of coastline that has stayed genuinely quiet. The Plage du Buse and the Plage du Golfe Bleu are within a fifteen-minute walk. For a full day, our concierge arranges a private boat charter from the Menton harbour or a helicopter transfer to the Îles de Lérins for lunch at La Guérite. Nothing here is difficult; everything just needs to be arranged in advance.
The Cours Saleya market in Nice is beautiful but crowded; the Marché de la Condamine in Monaco is where Monégasques actually eat their lunch. Vieux Antibes on a weekend morning still feels like the Riviera of the 1960s. For wine, the terraces above Bellet on the hills behind Nice produce a small quantity of exceptional white, and a private visit can be arranged. Our team knows which producers welcome guests and which prefer to be left alone.
